amsterdam fashion week

At the 25th of January 2012 we had the great unperturbed to open the 16th edition of the Amsterdam Fashion Week.

We started our show by showing a film (made in collaboration with Jan Swienink & model Robbert from Tony Jones). While the mood-film was playing dancers (from the ArtEZ academy) arrived at the catwalk and started their beautiful dance while wearing underwear from the brand-new Sjaak Hullekes Sensitives underwear line.

At the time the dancers finished their play the first outfit of our new collection was visible for the great audience (around 1000 fashion professionals).

We are very happy with the result, hereunder you will be able to have a look at all outfits from the collection (pictures by Peter Stigter). A video & the mood-film will follow very soon...

We just had a very good weekend in Paris, selling the latest Sjaak Hullekes collection.

We came back from Paris and went directly to Amsterdam and Arnhem to prepare our fashion show, which is tomorrow.

Although women are used to take care of buying the right and nicely designed undergarment for themselves, men do not have much of exclusive underwear to choose from. Men’s underwear is all about it’s practical use, less about it’s design and comes only in a few different kinds of fabric qualities.

For some years now men are getting to understand more about their looks, they are more willing to buy designer clothing, the right perfumes, skin products and sometimes even make-up.

One of the only things which haven’t really been moving in the past couple of years is men’s underwear. A contemporary man should be able to buy refined and fashionable high-end underwear, matching his modern lifestyle and his care for his own beauty.

As a reaction to the developments in men’s fashion, and as Sjaak Hullekes’ companion, Sebastiaan Kramer, has been working for several underwear brands in the past it felt like a natural revolution to the Sjaak Hullekes brand to introduce ‘Sjaak Hullekes Sensitives’. A contemporary underwear line which suits a middle and upper-class men’s lifestyle. Undergarments which still are conformable, practical and basic but at the same time are made of high-quality fabrics and with the perfect workmanship.

Sensitives starts it’s first season by introducing the ADAM series. The ADAM series includes five types of basic underwear pieces Sjaak Hullekes believes are worth to be part of a men’s wardrobe, due to their history in men’s fashion.

It has been over a week ago since we came back from our holiday to Marrakech, but I haven't been able to post a new blog since the day I came back.

We are busy preparing the new Autumn - Winter 2012 - 2013 collection...

Yesterday the Amsterdam Fashion Week officially announced we will open the upcoming fashion week by having a catwalk show. So now I can tell you we have been, and still are, working on all preparations for this great event which will take place at the 25th of January 2012.

Besides that we of course will go to Paris to participate the Tranoï Homme trade-show

(20th - 22nd of January 2012)

Many new things for the upcoming year are ahead of us, soon you will be able to have a look at the new features of the brand...

And just before the end of this year we will have our official webshop and website finished...

But I now actually would like to share Marrakech with you all.

We have stayed in this wonderful suite next to the roof terrace of Riad Privilege by Lotus.

It has been an amazing stay, as because of Marrakech aswell as because of the good service of our Riad.
